The Caleffi XF 577 series dirt separator is the champion of its category. The operating principle is to separate and trap the impurities present in the air conditioning system and guarantee its correct functioning and longevity, but unlike other dirt separators, by virtue of its construction and mechanical characteristics it is capable of unparalleled performance.

First of all, the Caleffi XF features a triple filtering system: the water in the system first passes through a first impurity separation mesh, then there is the action of the magnets positioned on the central rod and finally the passage through the filter at the outlet. The microparticles, therefore, are first separated thanks to the combined action of the large chamber and the reticular surfaces; then the magnets placed on the central rod capture and retain the ferrous impurities down to the smallest size and finally the water exiting the device encounters the action of a filtering mesh that retains the residual impurities by mechanically selecting the particles based on their size, a mesh that, having a large surface area, with a passage clearance of 160 µm, is difficult to clog. A triple filter consisting of a mesh element inside and at the outlet, and central magnets for ferrous impurities, with an incredible result in terms of water filtering and purification.

The Caleffi XF defangator never ceases to amaze because it is also self-cleaning and semi-automatic: in fact, it is sufficient to extract the central magnet-holder rod from the body to allow the decanting and subsequent expulsion of impurities without disassembling the defangator filter, and the same applies to the cleaning of the filtering mesh, which is done by simply rotating an internal brush mechanism by means of a special external knob located in the upper part of the device; it should be added that it is possible to evacuate the air that accumulates in the upper part of the body by unscrewing the purge plug with a screwdriver or a butterfly spanner.

Made of technopolymer, a material that is studied and processed in the Caleffi factories to obtain maximum performance in terms of chemical, physical and mechanical properties in relation to the type of device in question and projected towards high standards of efficiency and durability over time.

The Caleffi XF dirt separator is adjustable, therefore it is suitable for installation on both vertical and horizontal pipes and in both configurations the functional and fluid dynamic characteristics remain unchanged. The installation must be carried out by expert and qualified technical personnel; we recommend using the appropriate tightening wrench to unscrew and screw the ring nut.
