Gelcor GEL disinfectant for water systems
Gelclor is a liquid disinfectant based on sodium hypochlorite , designed for water disinfection in civil and industrial water systems . Thanks to its high bactericidal efficacy, it is used to ensure proper hygiene in drinking water distribution networks and water treatment systems.
The product appears as a yellow-green liquid and is formulated to be used via proportional dosing pumps , which allow for precise and controlled dosing within the water system.
What is Gelclor used for?
Gelclor is used to disinfect water intended for human consumption , helping to maintain the microbiological quality of the water and preventing the proliferation of microorganisms in water systems.
The product is dosed directly into the water to be treated in order to obtain a concentration of free chlorine equal to approximately 0.2 ppm after 20-30 minutes of contact , a value that allows for effective disinfection.
Utilization systems
Gelclor is indicated for the treatment and disinfection of water in:
The product is designed to be used with proportional dosing pumps , such as dosing systems dedicated to water treatment in water systems.
Product benefits
The use of Gelclor offers several advantages in water treatment:
-
High disinfectant efficacy thanks to the presence of sodium hypochlorite
-
Precise and controlled dosing via proportional dosing pumps
-
Ready-to-use formulation , which does not require complex preparations
-
Suitable for disinfecting drinking water
-
Also usable for the disinfection of non-metallic surfaces and environments by dilution
At the usual doses used, the product does not cause tissue or functional reactive manifestations that could support harmful aspects , making it suitable for the applications envisaged in water treatment.
How to use
For water disinfection, Gelclor is dosed using proportional dosing pumps until a free chlorine concentration of approximately 0.2 ppm is reached after 20-30 minutes of contact .
For the disinfection of non-metallic surfaces and environments, the product can be diluted 1:10 (e.g. 500 ml of Gelclor in 5 litres of water), applying the solution to previously cleaned surfaces.
Conservation
The product must be stored in a well-ventilated area , protected from frost and away from strong acids and anionic surfactants . Containers must be kept tightly closed. Under these conditions , the product's shelf life is approximately 6 months .
