Pleion BOOSTER60 wall inertial thermal flywheel for heat pump
The Pleion BOOSTER60 thermal flywheel is the new mini module that plays a key role in a heat pump heating system. Its function is to provide thermal inertia to the system by increasing the efficiency of the heat pump, saving the energy produced and reusing it when the system is not in operation. The long-term operation of a heat pump is in fact influenced by the number of ON/OFF cycles which determine its deterioration; Pleion BOOSTER60 affects precisely this process, as it reduces the number of on and off cycles allowing the heat pump to work for longer intervals of time and at the same time accumulates thermal energy destined to temporarily satisfy the demands of the distribution system while the machine is not working.
The Pleion BOOSTER60 thermal flywheel is ultra-compact and easy to handle, it must be installed in series between the heat pump and the heating/cooling system and guarantees the hydraulic separation of the flows between the heat pump and the distribution system. Designed to perform the functions of hydraulic separator and distribution manifold for 2 system zones, it makes the HP side and system side independent, affecting the efficiency of the heat pump, optimizing its performance.
There are many advantages offered by the new Pleion BOOSTER60 thermal flywheel, which has a series of characteristics that place it among the top of the range of its kind. Thermal insulation designed to minimize heat loss, including the summer season, therefore it also favorably affects the formation of condensation on the external surface; the position of the connections has been designed to optimize the performance of the heat pump and all-round system and furthermore the diameter of the inlet/outlet hydraulic connections (max 4.5 m³/h) is such as to guarantee the maintenance of thermal stratification in the 'accumulation; the 60-litre volume is suitable for use in most configurations in the home and additional technical characteristics that make BOOSTER60 convenient both for increasing the performance of your system, making it performant all year round and convenient from an economic point of view, because it brings significant reduction in costs also allowing for better management of one's energy costs.
Pleion BOOSTER60 is super compact, its dimensions also facilitate installation, which must be performed by authorized and qualified personnel. It can be inserted in various system contexts and is equipped with a wall fixing bracket, automatic air vent valve and temperature probe holder pocket.
