The new Vaillant aroTHERM plus is a monoblock air-to-water heat pump designed to offer high performance in heating and cooling and, when appropriately combined with a boiler, for the production of domestic hot water .

The Vaillant aroTHERM plus in the 8 kW size includes the VWL 85/8.1 A 230V S3 external unit, the heat pump interface and the control and connectivity devices provided by Vaillant for this configuration.

ADVANTAGES AND FEATURES

Natural refrigerant R290 with low environmental impact

The aroTHERM plus heat pump uses the natural refrigerant R290 , which has a GWP of 0.02 according to Vaillant data. The low global warming potential (GWP) limits the refrigerant's climate impact while maintaining high operating performance.

High temperature and high efficiency

The aroTHERM plus heat pump can reach a flow temperature of up to 75°C , with Vaillant's recommended design temperature of 65°C . This feature also favors its use in redevelopment projects and in systems with existing radiators, subject to proper verification of the heat requirement and existing terminals.

For the 8 kW size Vaillant declares an energy class A+++ with a flow temperature of 35°C and A++ at 55°C .

sensoCOMFORT control unit and connectivity included

The sensoCOMFORT VRC 720 climate control unit , included in the package, allows you to easily manage your heat pump system and coordinate its main functions. It allows you to manage multiple circuits and domestic hot water production, with a guided configuration designed to simplify system adjustment.

The scope of delivery also includes the myVaillant connect VR 940f gateway , which enables system connectivity and control via the myVaillant App . From your smartphone, you can manage the temperature, program operating times, and monitor energy consumption even remotely.

Flexible Space: greater freedom of installation

One of the main new features of the new aroTHERM plus heat pump is the Flexible Space function, developed to significantly reduce the clearance areas normally required for heat pumps using R290 refrigerant.

This function, which must be activated by a qualified technician , increases flexibility in positioning the outdoor unit, even near doors, windows, and other building elements. The remaining clearances remain mandatory and must be respected according to Vaillant's instructions.

Particularly quiet operation

The new aroTHERM plus heat pump has been developed to further reduce noise emissions. Vaillant declares an ErP sound power level of 47 dB(A) for the VWL 85/8.1 model.

The compressor and refrigerant circuit are protected by sound-absorbing materials, anti-vibration joints and damping systems designed to reduce the transmission of vibrations to the frame.

Reliability even in challenging weather conditions

The aroTHERM plus is designed to operate at outside air temperatures between -25°C and +46°C . The structure uses salt-resistant components and triple-protected metal panels, designed to increase reliability even in difficult environmental conditions.

Heating, cooling and domestic hot water

The aroTHERM plus can manage your home's comfort all year round, providing heating in winter and cooling in summer . For domestic hot water production, it can be combined with dedicated boilers and Vaillant internal units, choosing the configuration best suited to your system's needs.

Integration with photovoltaic systems also allows for increased use of electricity produced from renewable sources.

Installation must be carried out by qualified technical personnel , respecting Vaillant regulations and the specific safety areas established for the use of R290 refrigerant.

The Vaillant conventional warranty lasts 2 years .

For aroTHERM plus, Guarantee 7 is also available, which allows the warranty to be extended from 2 to 7 years (2+5) on the heat pump and the connected Vaillant thermoregulation, according to the conditions set out in the programme and in exchange for a remote maintenance contract with the local Official Technical Assistance Centre.
