The boiler
With this new boiler, BAXI offers a product capable of satisfying, above all, multiple installation needs: the new Luna Air is in fact a wall-mounted condensing boiler that can be installed either recessed , in the special container box (code KHG 71410991, sold separately), and outdoors in a partially protected place and, again, in the open air thanks to a special cover kit (code A7718787, sold separately). With a thickness of only 238 mm, it can be installed in most recessed fittings on the market, making it extremely versatile.
The BAXI Luna Air is a boiler for heating and the production of domestic hot water . It is ideal both for installation in new buildings and for the replacement of other heat generators also because (for model 24) the exhaust with a diameter of 50 mm can be used, which can be ducted into pre-existing flue pipes.
It is equipped as standard with a remote control panel with LCD display for total boiler management: very intuitive and with a modern design, it allows complete programming of the boiler as well as recording and diagnosing anomalies.
The boiler can work even in very cold climates as it is designed to operate down to -15 ° C ; the antifreeze function also avoids freezing phenomena and blocks upon ignition by automatically starting the burner below 5 ° C of delivery water temperature. The electro- galvanized casing and the IPX5D degree of protection (protection from water jets and dust) make it particularly suitable for outdoor installations.
The boiler is basic with natural gas operation but can be converted to LPG operation in the initial ignition phase by contacting the local CAT BAXI .
Guaranteed savings and high comfort
The condensing BAXI Luna Air differs from traditional boilers for its greater efficiency for the same fuel used. In fact, thanks to its modulation range that reaches 1: 7 of the minimum deliverable power (maximum rated power), when the room is heated, it reduces the flame to one seventh of the maximum to keep the temperature constant ; in this way, not only does the boiler not turn off, but greater efficiency and silence are guaranteed and thermal shocks are reduced . Whenever the boiler switches off and has to restart it consumes more gas and wastes more energy; with this boiler it is possible to avoid continuous switching on and off and also to keep expenses under control .
The boiler has an innovative saving system called GAC (Gas Adaptive Control) which, thanks to the new electronic gas valve, makes combustion control completely automatic : the system adjusts itself according to the quality of the gas and the length of the pipes. and maintains the final performance unchanged, guarantees maximum efficiency, manages to significantly reduce consumption and also pollution thanks to the continuous management of emissions.
Among other features, the control panel inside the boiler equipped with a practical LCD display , the electric three-way diverter valve , the burner and the water / fumes exchanger in particularly efficient and resistant stainless steel, the sanitary exchanger in stainless steel and larger size to condense (and consume less) even during domestic hot water withdrawals. The burner, in particular, reaches the NOx6 level and allows to keep the combustion gas levels always low. The pressure switch blocks the gas in case of lack of water, the NTC probe continuously checks the overheating of the fumes and intervenes automatically when necessary.
