Calcium carbonate protects the exhaust system from corrosion by changing the pH of the condensate. Condensing boilers produce acidic condensate which must be neutralized before being discharged so as not to cause damage to the home system pipes and the environment. It is necessary to install one of the acid condensate neutralizers (you can also find a vast assortment on our Climamarket.it website), so that the condensate passes inside the neutralizing cartridge which, thanks to the sodium carbonate, increases the pH bringing it within the set limits (>6) allowing free discharge. Thus, you avoid damaging pipes, sinks or gutters.
