Caleffi 521 series thermostatic mixer with 3/4" knob
The Caleffi 521 series thermostatic mixer is used in hot water production systems for sanitary use. The operating principle is to keep the temperature of the mixed water sent to the user constant at the set value as the temperature and pressure conditions of the incoming hot and cold water supply or the flow rate withdrawn vary.
In domestic systems it is necessary to guarantee thermal disinfection in order to prevent the risk of the formation of Legionella bacteria, therefore having a thermostatic mixer is essential to guarantee: the reduction of the temperature at the point of use to a lower value than that of accumulation and usable by healthcare users; regulating the temperature of the mixed water sent to the user at values not exceeding 50 °C and maintaining the temperature constant as the inlet temperature and pressure conditions vary.
The Caleffi 521 series thermostatic mixer is made with quality components, designed for devices of this type, with anti-limescale properties that preserve the performance over time and the longevity of the system. Furthermore, it is equipped with a control knob that allows you to adjust the temperature, between min and max, on one turn (360°) and an anti-tamper system for locking the temperature at the set value.
The Caleffi 521 series thermostatic mixers, given their flow characteristics, can be installed to control the temperature both for single users (e.g. sink, bidet, shower) and for multiple users . They cannot be used in combination with boilers with instantaneous production of domestic hot water as their insertion would compromise the correct functioning of the boiler itself.
