The Calpeda GQSM 50-8 submersible pump is a single-phase single-impeller electric pump with a recessed (vortex) impeller and a vertical threaded delivery port , used for the discharge of dirty water even in the presence of solid bodies up to Ø 50 mm, mostly emptying of flooded rooms or tanks and for the discharge of civil or industrial water not excessively contaminated by chemical agents incompatible with the pump materials. Furthermore, it is used for the withdrawal of water from rainwater collection wells, ponds, watercourses of various kinds and for irrigation with withdrawal from rainwater collection tanks.
TECHNOLOGICAL AND EFFICIENT SUBMERSIBLE ELECTRIC PUMP
The Calpeda GQSM 50-8 submersible pump features notable and noteworthy components , designed to offer a highly performing and patented product. Cast iron pump body with epoxy cataphoresis treatment and external rust-proof paint, easily transportable and positionable thanks to the practical, highly resistant polypropylene handle. In the upper part there is the connection cable connection with a 10 m long plug, the tightness of which is guaranteed by the presence of a clamp specifically designed to avoid any accidental slipping; on the opposite side there is the float regulator which allows the adjustment of the start and stop levels of the pump.
Set-back cast iron vortex impeller , suitable for the passage of solid bodies up to ø 50 mm and treated with epoxy cataphoresis and external painting to make it resistant to rust , while the shaft is made of stainless steel , both materials characterized by very high levels of hardness , resistance and reliability. A double mechanical seal with an oil chamber (oil for pharmaceutical food use) interposed has been provided above the shaft, in order to guarantee the separation of the motor from the water and protection against dry running. This pump is also equipped with a vent valve , which in addition to guaranteeing the general safety of the product, also affects the greater priming capacity of the pump as the air escapes from the impeller favoring efficient performance even after long periods of downtime.
As regards the general technical characteristics, the Calpeda GQSM series pump has: 2-pole induction motor , 50 Hz; single-phase power supply 230 V ± 10%, with float switch and thermal protector, as well as built-in capacitor for easy inspection; dry winding with triple moisture-resistant impregnation, class F insulation and IP X8 protection (for continuous immersion). The peculiarity of this product is that the delivery port is positioned vertically, therefore facing upwards, this makes it ideal for installation in small wells without the need for a curve on the pump. Some precautions are then fundamental in order to guarantee correct use of the article: liquid temperature up to 35 °C, pH value 6-11 and max and min depth equal to 5 mm and 275 mm.
