Sherpa SHW S2 260S is the new water heater by Olimpia Splendid designed for the production of domestic hot water in residential and non-residential areas, through a monoblock solution that is suited to the needs of those who do not have the space necessary to install an outdoor unit and at the same time does not give up excellent energy performance, up to class A+, optimizing the management of its consumption.
GUARANTEED SAVINGS AND HIGH COMFORT
The Olimpia Splendid Sherpa SHW S2 260S heat pump water heater contains the innovative air-water heat pump technology in a single solution, which uses the energy of the ambient air to heat the water for domestic use with short heating times and reduced energy consumption and also in full respect of the environment. Unlike traditional water heaters (gas or electricity), heat pump water heaters use about two thirds of ambient energy and just under a third of that of the electricity grid, thus resulting in a valid alternative, much more efficient and sustainable.
The monoblock also allows you to have all the main components in a single format, occupying only 630 mm of the overall surface, it is truly perfect for those with limited spaces or particular limitations deriving from condominium or architectural constraints. The monoblock water heaters also allow you to use the cold and dehumidified air to cool the internal environments using the appropriate ducts. Although the compressor is in the monoblock, the particular insulation and the reduced vibrations of the compressor make it very silent, also favored by the acoustically insulated upper plastic cover; installation is particularly easy since the masonry works are limited to the construction of the condensate drain and any air ducting, making sure that the installation room is not less than 20 m³.
TECHNOLOGY AND EFFICIENCY
The Olimpia Splendid Sherpa SHW S2 260S heat pump water heater has heat pump operating capabilities with air temperatures from -10°C to 43°C, high efficiency compressor with R134A refrigerant which allows producing domestic hot water at 65°C, 75°C with electrical resistance. The condenser is wrapped externally to the boiler and therefore free from encrustations and gas-water contamination, the tank is made of enamelled steel and equipped with an anti-corrosion magnesium anode to ensure its durability and thermal insulation in rigid polyurethane foam (PU) with a thickness of 50mm. It is also equipped with an electronic expansion valve for precise control, ON-OFF contact to start the unit from an external switch, electric resistance available in the unit as a back-up, which ensures hot water at a constant temperature even in seasonal conditions extreme. The front control panel consists of an LCD display on which it is possible to check and monitor the operating parameters and the set functions; among these they detect the water heating mode to set the desired temperature, rapid heating mode which activates the electric resistance in addition to the heat pump to optimize the heating times, electric heating mode which is activated when the electric resistance is activated manually while the water heater is in standby mode, the Antifreeze and Defrost modes which protect the unit from extreme temperatures and the Anti-legionella mode which activates the water disinfection cycle by eliminating bacteria and periodically sanitizing the water heater; further information on the modes and settings that can be activated is easily accessible via the supplied and easy-to-understand user manual.
The Sherpa SHW S2 206S has a contact for integration with a photovoltaic system or with solar thermal, this possibility allows you to reduce DHW production costs by lowering consumption and increasing efficiency, making your water heater a unit capable of work in synergy to the full advantage of domestic comfort and respect for the environment. Provision is also made for the optional installation of an external recirculation pump and flow switch, which must be installed hydraulically and electrically according to the instructions contained in the user manual.
