The new Vaillant aroTHERM pro is a compact monoblock air-to-water heat pump, designed to offer high performance in heating and cooling and, appropriately combined with a boiler, for the production of domestic hot water .

The Vaillant aroTHERM pro in the 12 kW size includes the VWL 125/7.1 400V outdoor unit, the VWZ AI/7 heat pump interface and the control devices provided by Vaillant for this configuration.

ADVANTAGES AND FEATURES

Compact and versatile even in small spaces

aroTHERM pro is the most compact monoblock heat pump with R290 refrigerant in the Vaillant range . The design of the outdoor unit allows for high power outputs while maintaining a single-fan configuration up to a size of 15 kW , making it easy to install even in limited outdoor spaces.

The 12 kW size measures 1103 mm in height and maintains particularly compact dimensions in relation to its power, a feature that facilitates transport, handling and positioning of the unit.

Natural refrigerant R290 with low environmental impact

The aroTHERM pro heat pump uses the natural refrigerant R290 , which has a GWP of 0.02 according to Vaillant data. The low global warming potential (GWP) limits the refrigerant's climate impact while maintaining high operating performance.

High temperature and high efficiency

The aroTHERM pro heat pump can reach a flow temperature of up to 70°C , maintaining high temperatures even with outside air temperatures as low as -10°C . This feature allows it to be used both in new buildings with low-temperature systems and in retrofit projects with existing radiators, subject to proper assessment of the building's heating needs.

For the 12 kW size Vaillant declares an energy class in heating A+++ at 35°C and A++ at 55°C .

Flexible Space: maximum freedom of installation

The Flexible Space function allows the clearance areas normally required for heat pumps using R290 refrigerant to be reduced to almost zero, significantly increasing the freedom to position the outdoor unit even near doors, windows and light shafts.

The function must be activated by a qualified technician and involves an indicative additional electricity consumption of approximately 25 kWh per year . The remaining buffer zones remain binding and must be observed according to Vaillant regulations.

VWZ AI interface and sensoCOMFORT adjustment included

The new VWZ AI/7 heat pump interface , included in the scope of delivery, allows for complete management of the system and offers ample freedom in configuring the system, from single-energy solutions to hybrid systems and cascade installations.

The VWZ AI/7 integrates an intuitive touch interface and a CIM connector for quick connection of the connectivity gateway .

The scope of delivery also includes the sensoCOMFORT VRC 720 climate control unit . The myVaillant connect gateway is optional and must be ordered separately ; once installed, it allows the system to be managed via the myVaillant App , with temperature control, time programming and energy consumption monitoring.

Heating, cooling and domestic hot water

The aroTHERM pro heat pump is designed to manage the comfort of your home all year round, providing heating in winter and active cooling in summer .

Cooling can be achieved through radiant systems or suitably sized fan coils. For domestic hot water production, the heat pump can be combined with dedicated Vaillant boilers, choosing the capacity and configuration based on the system's needs.

The circulation pump is integrated into the outdoor unit and, thanks to the new VWZ AI interface, there is no mandatory need for an internal hydraulic module: a boiler, backup generator and additional hydraulic components can be added according to project requirements.

Reliability even in challenging weather conditions

aroTHERM pro is designed to operate at outside air temperatures between -25°C and +46°C and at humidity levels up to 100%. The structure uses salt-resistant components and triple-protected metal panels, designed to increase reliability even in harsh environmental conditions.

Silent operation

For the VWL 125/7.1 model Vaillant declares an ErP sound power of 55 dB(A) .

NB: To correctly size a heat pump, it is always necessary to evaluate the building's thermal requirements, insulation, climate zone, and the characteristics of the terminals present.
